Designing The Fuse
Starting To Loft The Fuse
Fuse Drawings for practice Lofting click HERE
The first thing I did was to bring in my top view onto my top plane and centered the fuse centerline on the horizontal centerline I had coming from my origin point. I also centered the LE of my top view right at the origin point so as to make everything easier to line up. Next I brought in my side view on my front plane and set the nose right at the origin point and centered it on the horizontal centerline and the centerline of the top view using the fuselage Datum line for alignment references.
Next I created 8 planes at the reference stations I had marked on my top and side views. this pic shows 7 with the 8th being the right plane not shown. then I have my station formers to bring in labelled 1-8 with 1 being the nose and 8 the tail areas.
Heres a shot with all stations in place. Just so you know I havent gotten a friggin clue as to what I am doing. I just remember seeing screenshots of other guys setting stuff up this way and said what the heck lets try it. now I need to figure out how to loft it all together
Heres a shot of my first shot at lofting. I had to cheat as was having problems with my side and top view intersecting with my stations. at least gives an idea of the outline. so far from looking down the fuse at all the various angles i nailed the shape pretty well. now I just have to get it properly lofted so can pull some fuse formers from it.
