Building the Engine
I have decided to cad up my engine since I have a couple planes that need it. This will be the 180 h.p. Mercedes DIII. I had one in solidworks already but the file is all messed up so I decided to try and draw one up myself. It may take a few days to get it drawn, but when done I will have templates to build my model. I am drawing this in full scale and then rescale it to various other scales. I will eventually be doing a couple radials too.
Heres a shot of basic cylinder head.

Heres one of the front crankcase cover.
Heres the engine block.
Another shot of the engine block.
In the last pic I left the screen so you can see on the left theres a ton of parts to this. So far I have the oil pan on and you can see the rest of the upper. I still have to do the bolts and nuts that clamp the 2 halves together and add some stuff to the bottom of the oil pan then the rest is adding all the fun stuff onto the upper half. So far its moving along faster than I thought it would, but then again I aint to the sweeps yet for the exhaust.
You can also see the timestamp when the screenshot was taken hehe
